Tokyo - day two

In the morning I visited the major Buddhist temple Senso-ji enshrining a golden statue of Kannon - goddess of Mercy that was fished out of the river in 628. Unfortunately, the statue is hidden inside the temple since it was built.

From Senso-ji I went to Shinjuku - Tokyo's skyscraper's office blocks area. The highest building there - Tokyo Metropolitan Governement Office - provides a stunning view from the 45 floor (200 m).
East Shinjuku is a nightlife area with some of Tokyo's best department and electronics stores, crazy people and a red-light district.
