The flight across Atlantic was rather uneventful. It seems that every time planes get more and more crowded and smaller. We flew by American Airlines and their service is worse than Northworst (NWA). It seems that these days airlines charge for everything including headsets. At least the luggage was not lost as expected.
The flight from Manchester to Helsinki was long, strenuous, and nervous. First, huge lines and anemic service in Manchester. They have one piece carry-on rule and we checked both bags. We barely made it to the gate only to find out that the departure was delayed. We had a connection in Paris (CDG) and had less than an hour to find our flight and travel from one terminal to another by train. We made it, but our luggage did not. The flight from Paris was with Finnair, they have a live feed from a video camera. It was rather impressive to see on TV screens how the plane was taking off. I wish I can include this video here!
